Kanata Seniors Council Computer Team
The Kanata Seniors Council Computer Team provides one on one computer, laptop or tablet training as outlined here, as well as computer seminars and support to the KSC members and executive for IT and Web related activities.
The Computer Team provides a fully equipped hi-speed internet Computer room which contains four Public access computers for any KSC Member use and two Computer Training Machines for KSC Member one on one training. We also provide FREE Wi-Fi access in all the key rooms of the Kanata Seniors Centre as well as help to members on computer issues.
Public Computers: Four Windows 7/Office 2010 equipped PC's with large LCD monitors for general Internet/email access. All four Public computers have local printing and scanning capabilities. One Public PC is specially equipped with an extra large LCD monitor and larger fonts for better accessibility. Computers are equipped with a variety of input devices as well as Skype compatible cameras.
Training Computers : Both Training computers allow for either Windows 7/WinXp/Vista training and also most versions of Office including Office 2010. Both computers also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, Picasa 3, Skype and numerous other applications installed to facilitate training. Users may bring in their own laptop or netbook for training.
Macintosh training : can be provided on your MacBook in the training room.
Tablet training : iPad 2 and Playbook can be provided for one on one training, or the student may bring their own Tablet. |
